CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — Rachel Wellhouser has been searching for her son, James Chambers, since August of 2014.

Chambers, 28, was dropped off at his home by a friend on Carol Street in Fayetteville.

“From that point on, no one has spoken to him, seen him,” Wellhouser said. “Where do you go from there?”

Chambers’ belongings—his cell phone and dog—were left behind.

Wellhouser hit the streets, passing out fliers and talking to people, looking for any information about her son.

“We are exhausted. You lay in bed thinking, “If I can talk to one more person, put one more flyer up, we will find him,’” Wellhouser said.

Wellhouser had another son who died form an illness in 2008. She said losing a second is almost too much to bear.

“The heartache, there are no words,” she said.

If you know anything about the disappearance of Chambers, call the toll-free hotline at 1-866-43-wanted.
