NC vaccine bill dead

Posted April 1, 2015

— Senate sponsors of a controversial proposal to remove the religious exemption from immunization requirements say they're dropping the bill.

Senate Bill 346, sponsored by Sens. Jeff Tarte, R-Mecklenburg, Tamara Barringer, R-Wake, and Terry Van Duyn, D-Buncombe, would have required all children entering school in North Carolina to have had all vaccines on the schedule recommended by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The only exemption granted would have been for medical reasons with a doctor's approval.

Sponsors cited concerns about the growing number of children whose parents were using the religious exemption to opt them out of vaccination requirements. But opponents decried the bill as governmental overreach and said the proposal violated parental rights as well as the constitutional right to free exercise of religion.

On Wednesday, the sponsors released a statement through the office of Senate President Pro Tem Phil Berger.

"After hearing serious concerns about stricter vaccine and immunization requirements from our constituents and from citizens across the state, we have decided we will not move forward with Senate Bill 346. The vaccine bill is dead,” the statement said.

Tarte did not immediately respond to inquiries seeking more detail about the decision.

it figures, this was the first decent piece of legislation to come out of the GA in a couple of years.

By golly I forgot my disclaimer:
I am not a medical doctor, nor do I play one on tv, or the internet. The information I provided in my comments, are for informational purposes only. My son's cure, is my perception (based on the fact that now everyone he talks to can actually understand him). My friend, with lupus, her cure is just her perception, based on a diagnosis before and after her diet change (though her doctor insists he must have misdiagnosed her since you can't cure lupus). My information can not diagnose, treat or claim to treat anything you are suffering from.

Oops, sorry for not posting the link for the video. This is a MUST see. Don't think this is limited to MS. Be a true scientist and do the research, and try a diet change for yourself. Here is the video:

continued...would have been put on the special diet. After all who could sit there and see their kid suffer needlessly when a diet change could make them healthy!
You do realize that the germ theory is just that...a theory? You do know that most of us are all walking around with MRSA don't you? It's everywhere! So why isn't everyone coming down with it? Did you know that some 85% of the population, during the polio outbreaks, came down with polio? Why did some most of those cases not even know they had polio? In most cases, I've read 95%, polio was nothing more than a bad cold. In the book, "How to Raise Healthy Children in Spite of Your Doctor", you will read of a doctor, here in NC, who told all of his patients to not eat any sugar during the polio outbreak. Not one single patient of his came down with polio.
We are led to believe that medications are what is saving us. But MOST medications could be avoided, meaning that MOST of us are suffering at the hands of big pharma

Do you know what the numbers after the color name in the food dye listed in the ingredients is for? That tells you how many attempts that food dye went though the FDA before it was approved. So Red 40 took 40 attempts to get approved by the FDA. Can you guess, of all the food colorings, which is the best known for reactions? Ah, yes, the red one. A lady I met was lamenting about the stress of all four of her children having asthma, the medications involved, and the number of hospital visits each year. I asked her if she had looked into the possibility of their diet being a cause. She *freaked* out at me, told me how her husband was a *scientist!!!* and they don't do anything that the FDA doesn't approve! She was yelling at me! Wow, that is some scientists! Let your kids suffer because you want to follow your "religion" and it's "maker (FDA)". Here is what a true scientist would have done. Put 2 of the 4 kids on the special diet and see what happens. In short order all 4 kids...

Go to the library and get out the book, "Gut and Psychology Syndrome" by Natasha Campbell-McBride. Many people with the illnesses you listed have read the book and they no longer have those illnesses. There is a video of a doctor who had MS, was in a wheel chair, and is now able to work, walk and bike...though she still has weakness after a full day. If these people can reverse their illnesses, then they can be avoided altogether. What passes as food (by the FDA no less!) on the shelves of our grocery stores is a joke. I personally know people whose asthma, seasonal allergies, food "allergies" (most are actually not allergies but reactions due to a leaky gut), and for my son his incurable (by doctors and speech therapists) speech apraxia CURED by the diet in this book. I can let you talk to his speech therapist if you want proof. A friend of mine had confirmed lupus...cured, from diet change. The list goes on.

Jamie, Vaccines cause problems more than we realize, albeit I do believe they prevent life threatening diseases. VAERS only recognizes a "complication" if it causes the death of a person or the person is hospitalized. A developmental delay doesn't fall in to that category, my son has some mild delays. I am a pro-vax parents that advocates for safer vaccines and parental rights.

Since when are autoimmune and allergies preventable? RA, lupus, IBD, MS and many others are autoimmune diseases and are not preventable.

Though I agree with the premise of not forcing parents to vaccinate their kids (I have only recently "flipped" my opinion on this), I still feel obligated to dispel some of the myths of vaccines.

First, vaccines don't cure diseases, they prevent them. So, any claim that vaccines haven't "cured" anyone is true simply because that is not their function.

Second, in the case of thimerisal, it is mainly found in the flu vaccine. However, the trace amounts found in the vaccine are way smaller than the amount of mercury that ALREADY EXISTS NATURALLY IN YOUR BLOOD! In fact, you would have to inject yourself with the vaccine 1,000 TIMES PER DAY FOR A YEAR to even come close to the amount of mercury you have in your blood currently.

I saw one stupid person post that 85% of heroine addicts had been vaccinated as children. That's like saying 100% of people born will die. It's stupid.
