A Raleigh man faces a dozen sex-related charges after police at North Carolina State University found him allegedly looking at child pornography on a library computer.

Nathan Donald Whittle, 37, of 4510 Mimosa Tree Lane, Apt. 905, faces a dozen counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor for allegedly having videos of young girls in sexual situations.

Whittle was arrested Thursday evening and was being held Monday on a $500,000 secured bond.

An N.C. State spokesman said Whittle is not affiliated with the university, but he declined to comment further on the investigation.

According to search warrants, the alleged offenses happened in August, when university police allegedly caught him at D.H. Hill Library on West Broughton Drive with several teen chat rooms open on the computer he was using as well as several pornographic photos.

If you think internet traffic should be censored, ask the experts. Saudi Arabia and China lead the world, so why not start there?

I'm with DJOFRALEIGH.....How is anyone able to search kiddie porn sites from a library on campus? How did this guy figure out to go there? Is he the only one? So many questions.

How are these websites not blocked? At least his bail was set high enough so he likely will not get out. Disgusting individual. Our students are not even safe at the library. I'd also be wiling to bet that there are some victims of his yet to come forward.

Why does a computer at NCSU library allow access to child porno? Why was this man allowed access to NCSU computers? What does "young girls" mean? NCSU is putting the guy at arm's length, but still, who are they allowing into the cubicles in the library? Good for whomever alerted security to the man.
