Every day another heroic US soldier dies over there. Why? What for? There is no victory other than getting out. Let's get out now. Obama came in and stepped up the war, spending more in his first 3 years there than Bush did in 7, and lost more US lives, too. For what? Obama can just declare victory in that Osama is dead and bring our troops home now.

Afghanistan is not even an election issue. We are killing and dying for no good cause or no good end. Why keep this up?

Thank you for your service to your country and may your family find peace in your passing. That said it is way past time for the American military to just get the heck out of there. Stop wasting American lives in that pithole of a country because whenever we leave it wont make a difference how long we have stayed or how many lives have been wasted.
