NC legislative website partially down
The state legislature's website was partially offline Tuesday morning after the site's old domain name was allowed to expire.
Posted — UpdatedThe legislature's IT department has been porting the site from its old domain, ncleg.net, to its new domain, ncga.state.nc.us. However, that process isn't yet completed, and some resources, including the mobile site and the audio feeds for chambers and committee rooms, are still hosted on the old domain.
As of Tuesday morning, ncleg.net was redirecting to a placeholder page.
IT director Dennis McCarty confirmed that the domain had not been renewed and that the department was "frantically working on it."
He said technicians were on the phone with the website vendor early Tuesday morning.
"It ought to be back very soon," he said.
