MOORESVILLE, N.C. — A Mooresville family credits the power of prayer with the intercession that ended up in a heart transplant for their child.
Ella Kate Leirener was born with inoperable tumors in her heart.
One Sunday, the pastor at Abundant Life Church asked parishioners to pray over Ella.
On the way home from the service, her mom got the call that a heart had been found.
"The timing was really interesting, and this is how medicine should be in the 21st century,” heart surgeon Dr. Gonzalo Alberto Wallis told WCNC.
Ella’s family says they are eternally grateful for both the miracle of prayer and modern medicine.
