Chapel Hill, N.C. — The NC Comedy Arts Festival, a 10-day celebration of some of the funniest stand-up, sketch and improv performers in North America, kicks off Thursday in Carrboro.
The annual event was created in 2011 as a way to showcase Chicago-style improvisation to Carolina audiences and Southern improv performers. It has since grown into the largest comedy event in the southern United States. DSI Comedy Theatre in Carrboro produces this event.
