— Two friends from Charlotte have created a map that pinpoints the locations of hundreds of barbecue restaurants across the state. The map also includes details such as eastern vs. Piedmont style and other barbecue facts.

The Great North Carolina Barbecue Map is available online and at many barbecue restaurants and gift shops.

Not so, each bar b q restaurant has their very own flavor. Personally I like Captain Bob's in Hertford, NC, they cook their pork over hickory which gives it a out of this world taste.

Can you not find the same information by searching Google for NC BBQ restaurants?

One would probably have to pay for the BBQ also.--Its a commodity to be used. It has a cost in order for it to be used--just like food, gas, books, phones, etc.

They should make an APP and make it free.... money comes from Ads. with the option to purchase the app to remove ads.

Once I tried BBQ in Texas. Now I don't seem to care much for NC BBQ.Apples and oranges. Same with Kansas City ribs. They are all good, and different. Kind of like comparing cakes to ice cream. Both are desserts, both are good, but they are different.

Beef is not barbeque. Don't get me wrong, I love beef brisket but barbeque is and only is pork. Barbeque was being made in North Carolina long before Texas was a state.

We have one. Wish I had it on my phone. Great fun to find these places. And it's not just the food. It's also the character of the place. I've been to a few that are unforgettable.
