Lockdowns lifted at NCCU, NC A&T, Elizabeth City State
Lockdowns for two North Carolina college campuses have been lifted after separate incidents, one of which involved reports of a gun.

North Carolina Central University imposed a lockdown shortly after 1 p.m. after reports of an attempted armed robbery at Eagleson Residence Hall. School spokeswoman Ayana Hernandez said the robber fled without getting anything.
The lockdown was lifted before 3 p.m., and campus police continue to investigate.
Shortly before the incident at N.C. Central, North Carolina A&T State University officials lifted a lockdown at the Greensboro campus, where an armed man had been reported Friday morning.
It wasn't clear if anyone with a weapon was found.
Police searched multiple buildings on the A&T campus for a black man standing 5 feet 11 inches tall. He was reportedly wearing a blue jacket, blue jeans, blue cap and white T-shirt and had been seen in the area of the General Classroom Building, which is near the corner of North Benbow Road and Sullivan Street in the northern half of the campus.
Several nearby Guilford County schools were locked down as a precaution during the search.
Before dawn Friday, Elizabeth City State University was briefly on lockdown.
Someone called in a report of gunshots near the Mitchell Lewis Residence Hall. Campus police said no one was injured.
