Natural sciences museum cafe to close for month

Posted September 1, 2014

The Fried Green Tomato BLT at The Daily Planet Cafe.

The Daily Planet Cafe at the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences' Nature Research Center in downtown Raleigh will be closed through Sept. 30 for renovations.

Crews will be replacing the wood floor, where many of the boards have warped. There won't be any other changes to service once it reopens - just a smoother floor.

During the renovations, the Acro Cafe on the fourth floor of the main building will be open with an expanded menu. Catering also will still be available through Rocky Top Hospitality.

I agree! And it's always packed at lunchtime with museum visitors and downtown office workers.
