The N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences launched a monthly drop-off program for kids this year.  Tara Clark, the museum collaborations educator behind the program, tells me they are extending the program with plans to hold it on the fourth Thursday of every month. The next program will be March 27 with an animal detectives theme.

It's also slated for April 24 and May 29. The programs are held on Thursday evenings when the museum is open until 9 p.m.

The Explorer's Drop-Off Program is for kids ages 3 to 11. Drop-off is from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Pick-up runs from 8:15 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. The cost is $30 for the first child and $15 for each additional child. (Museum members pay $25 for the first kid and $10 for each additional child). Pre-registration is required as space is limited.

For more information and to reserve a spot, contact Clark at tara.clark@naturalsciences.org. Scholarships are available on an as-needed basis. Donations for the scholarship program are appreciated.
