National Guard truck crashes near Goldsboro
Wayne County authorities were investigating a crash involving a military vehicle on U.S. Highway 13 near Goldsboro on Friday afternoon.
Posted — UpdatedThe crash happened shortly before noon near Harold's Pond Lane. Troopers say the driver began sneezing and lost control of the National Guard transport truck, which was transporting supplies from a training exercise at Fort Bragg.
The truck flipped several times and landed in the front yard of a nearby home. The two people inside the vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital. Their names were not released.
Charges were pending, according to troopers. No other information was available.
