Nashville, N.C. — Nash County sheriff's deputies have arrested a Nashville man in the shooting death of his 27-year-old girlfriend on Friday.
Investigators said Monday that Daniel Nathan Gregory, 21, got into an argument with Lindsay Marie Glore at his home at 3576 N.C. Highway 58 South.
The fight escalated, and the two struggled over a gun, deputies said. The gun discharged, and a bullet struck Glore, killing her, they said.
Deputies initially charged Gregory with second-degree murder, but the charge was later upgraded to first-degree murder. He was being held without bond Wednesday in the Nash County Jail.
