Nash County woman killed in drive-by shooting

Middlesex, N.C. — A 41-year-old Middlesex woman died late Thursday after a drive-by shooting on Old Middlesex Road, the Nash County Sheriff's Office said. 

According to investigators, Portia Hinnant was hit by a bullet inside her home about 10 p.m. She died at the scene. Two other people inside the home at the time of the shooting were not injured.

No arrests have been made. 

Anyone with information should call the Nash County Sheriff's Office at 252-459-4121.

my prayers goes out to the families involved. This has really touched my heart. I hope they catch all those involved. Two wrongs dont make it right. This violence needs to STOP!!

This right here is getting to out of hand another innocent person dead over stupidity i was born and raised in that town and to hear something like this u can't beleive it RIP Teresa Hinnant and RIP JAY
