— A man suspected in the homicide of a New Jersey woman who was found beaten to death in her apartment.

Demetrius M. Diaz-Bridges, 19, faces charges in connection with a Jan. 30 homicide, police say.

The only homicide that occurred in Jefferson, N.J., that day was that of Elizabeth O'Brien, a 49-year-old mother of two, according to the Parsippany, N.J., Daily Record.

Diaz-Bridges was being held Sunday in the Wake County Jail without bond. He was awaiting extradition to New Jersey.
