My SweetArts shutting down, offering final sessions this month

Michelle Schooff of My SweetArts leads class

I'm sad to report that My SweetArts, a Chapel Hill program that mixed arts, crafts and music for toddlers and preschoolers, will be offering its final classes and camps this month.

Michelle Schooff and Rosario Vila, two local moms, launched the program a couple of years ago. Schooff led the music program. Vila took over the arts and crafts.

"We have had a wonderful time and been so successful ..." Vila tells me. But it's time for them both to move on to do other things. Vila is looking forward to spending more time with her kids.

Before they wrap things up, the two will offer one last program this month at University Mall in Chapel Hill. The Little Elves Workshop offers live holiday music, movement and crafts. It's offered in morning and afternoon sessions on four dates in December starting Dec. 8. The cost is $25 per class per child. There are a few spots left.

Also, they've added an afternoon holiday camp from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Dec. 19, Dec. 22 and Dec. 23. This is a drop-off craft and music camp. Kids ages 3 to 6 can enjoy making some fun gifts for friends and family. Parents can enjoy some last minute shopping and errand running! You'll need to sign up for this one in advance.

Best wishes to Rosario and Michelle and a big thanks to them for offering a wonderful program  for lots of kids around here.
