You might have heard about Olive Garden and My Gym's deal for dinner this Friday: Enjoy a dinner for two at Olive Garden and send your kids to My Gym for free babysitting.
Sadly, the Triangle My Gym activity centers are fully booked for this deal.
There's a waiting list at the Cary location, I'm told. Bill Joyce, owner of the Raleigh location, tells me all of his 20 spots were full within 24 hours after the deal's announcement last week. He's a little worried that some parents might show up on Friday without reservations (you can't ... reservations for My Gym's portion of the evening are required).
"We're still getting calls," Joyce said. "It's been an insane response. Who doesn't like free, you know?"
Both spots do offer parents night out programs other nights as well.
You don't need to be a gym member to participate in regular programs, Joyce tells me of his offerings. The cost is usually $30 for non-members, $25 for members, he said.
