School is out, but museums are starting to thaw out and reopen after this week's snowy weather.

Here's what I know about for Friday, Jan. 19:

Marbles Kids Museum and its IMAX theater in downtown Raleigh will reopen at noon.
The N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences in downtown Raleigh will reopen at 10 a.m.
The N.C. Museum of History in downtown Raleigh will reopen at noon.
The N.C. Museum of Art, including its park, in west Raleigh, will reopen at 11:30 a.m.
The Museum of Life and Science in Durham will reopen at noon.
The N.C. Zoo in Asheboro will remain closed.
Kidzu Children's Museum in Chapel Hill will be open during normal operating hours - 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Raleigh parks' weather-bound sites (Jaycee, Green Road, Chavis & Abbotts Creek) and track-out sites (Marsh Creek, Lake Lynn, Brier Creek & Barwell Road) will open 9 a.m.. All other facilities will open at 10 am (or normal opening time). Lake Wheeler is closed due to storm damage.
Cary Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts facilities will open by noon. Programs that begin before noon are canceled. Programs that start at or after noon are on normal schedule.
All Durham Parks and Recreation facilities will delay opening until 10 a.m. Programs will start back up beginning at 1 p.m.

Before you go anywhere, I'd check in with the location to make sure that plans haven't changed.

WRAL's closings and delays page has more information about hours at schools, businesses and destinations across the Triangle.
