— Police have charged a Raleigh woman with murder in a head-on collision last weekend that killed a man.

Latisha Nivcole Dixon, 33, of 4116 Mindspring Drive, was southbound on New Hope Road on Sunday morning when her Dodge Stratus crossed the center line and collided with a Hyundai Sonata near Rock Quarry Road, police said.

The Sonata's driver, Terrance Tyreek Smallwood, 22, died at WakeMed from his injuries.

Dixon, who was initially charged with driving while impaired, also has been charged with felony death by vehicle.

Well I don't know how she could see, she was obviously so drunk she put her ponytail on her forehead unless that's a pile of manure. Come on, everyone was thinking the same thing. Seriously, the point of a ponytail is to pull hair away from the face and she had the opposite. She deserves jail nonetheless for taking a life all because she was selfish and drove drunk.

It will never stick. The premeditated act is drinking and then driving, not drinking and saying I am going to kill someone with my car. I am surprised Edwards is not taking up for her.

Only after drinking? What about prescription pills? Even better how about sleepy drivers?

WRAL told as a few days ago that drunk drivers cause 33% of road deaths. 67% are caused by sober drivers.

What about sober people? Most deaths involve sober drivers. Should they not be charged just as harshly?

Sad but someone charged with Felony death by vehicle do not get the same time as killing someone by other means..AND FOR THE LIFE OF ME i DON'T KNOW WHY!!!

Good! Anyone that chooses to drive after they have been drinking, should be charged with murder in the 1st degree. It is a premeditated act. We let too many people get away with this and innocent people pay with their lives.
