Multi-vehicle crash closes I-40E overnight
At least one person was injured and multiple vehicles were damaged in a crash on Interstate 40 East early Sunday.

MORRISVILLE, N.C. — At least one person was injured and multiple vehicles were damaged in a crash on Interstate 40 East early Sunday.
The wreck happened near Aviation Parkway around 2:45 a.m. and caused all eastbound lanes and most westbound lanes to be closed.
The state Highway Patrol did not release any other information.
