Moving Veterans Forward receive temporary truck
Last week, Moving Veterans Forward - an organization that has helped more than 800 homeless veterans move into new homes - found themselves stuck without truck and in need of a bit of help themselves.

The organization's truck blew an engine and their operation was put on hold. But on Tuesday they were able to start moving veterans again thanks to Cummins International, which donated one of their moving trucks to help keep the mission of Moving Veterans Forward going.
"We have had an overwhelming response from our employees that they really liked helping veterans," said Keith Thompson, parts manager for Cummins.
On Tuesday, the donated truck helped move three homeless veterans into new homes. Each vet picked out furniture from the donated assortments, and everything was loaded and moved into their new homes.
"This is tremendous to me," Army veteran Leron Mcelven said. "I feel very blessed and thankful that there are people out there that really do care."
Hernandez was worried his operation would fall apart just like their truck, but the support for the vets has kept it alive.
"I am just the middle-man between the people who want to help the veterans and the veterans themselves," he said.
While donates are still pouring into the warehouse, the organization's goal is to raise $20,000 for a new truck. But Cummins said he will provide the donated truck until they meet that goal.
