Mount Olive gets approval for graduate programs

Mount Olive College will begin offering a master's degree in Business Administration in January. The school's accrediting body, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, signed off this week on its plan to expand to graduate and online offerings.

“This reflects a logical progression from our initial years as a two-year institution to becoming a four-year institution: now we have the authority to grant graduate degrees," said Mount Olive President Philip P. Kerstetter.

The school is accepting applications through the fall for the first class to study toward a Mount Olive MBA. The 30-hour program will be offered entirely online.
