More than 21% of North Carolina's four-year-olds enrolled in the state's pre-kindergarten programs during the 2022-2023 school year, up from the prior year but still below the state's pre-pandemic highs, according to the National Institute for Early Education Research.

A man was seriously injured Wednesday evening in a crash involving his motorcycle and a pick-up truck in Cary, police said. 

<b>CARY, N.C.</b> — A man was seriously injured Wednesday evening in a crash involving his motorcycle and a pick-up truck in Cary, police said. 

The wreck happened around 7 p.m. at the Crossroads shopping center.

The man, whose name was not released, was briefly trapped under the truck. Emergency workers quickly got him out and transported him to WakeMed Hospital in Raleigh. His condition was not released. 

The driver of the pick up truck was not hurt.

Cary police are still investigating the incident to determine if charges will be filed.
