Motorcyclist injured after wreck with school bus in Fayetteville

An 18-year-old man was in serious condition on Tuesday after his motorcycle struck a school bus in Fayetteville, police said.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — An 18-year-old man was in serious condition on Tuesday after his motorcycle struck a school bus in Fayetteville, police said. 

The wreck happened at 3:40 p.m. Monday on Pamalee Drive near Commonwealth Avenue. 

Police said school bus driver, Julius Tucker, 70, failed to see motorcyclist Andrew Dejaynes before turning, causing Dejaynes to hit the bus.

Police said charges are pending.
