DURHAM, N.C. — A motorcyclist died Thursday night in a crash with an SUV in Durham, police said.

The crash happened just before 9 p.m. at the intersection of Courtney Creek Boulevard and N.C. Highway 55. Police said Joshua Cutler, 23, of Durham, was driving a Honda CBR 600 motorcycle southbound on NC-55 when he crashed into the passenger-side door of a Toyota RAV4 driven by Leslie Bradic, of Durham.

Bradic was trying to make a left turn onto Courtney Creek Boulevard when the crash happened.

Cutler was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, and Bradic was treated for minor injuries.

Authorities said speed might have been a factor, but no charges have been filed.
