— A motorcyclist died from injuries suffered in a wreck Saturday, police said.

Ryan Ciszkowski, 25, of 7514 Telfair Drive in Fayetteville, was riding east on Yadkin Road when his motorcycle collided with a Dodge Intrepid near the intersection of Lake Valley Road, police said.

A preliminary investigation determined that the driver of the Intrepid, Georgia Houston, 60, turned in front of the motorcycle. Charges are pending against her, police said.

Ciszkowski was airlifted to UNC Hospitals, in Chapel Hill, where he died at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the family.

The wreck remains under investigation.

I sure hope that prosecutors wise up and start getting serious about vehicles turning in front of motorcycles. This is a completely unnecessary, and avoidable, situation that occurs MUCH too often!
Prayers go out to the friends and family.

A very sad story, only 25 years old.

I used to have a motorcycle, and had a single vehicle (mine) wreck. Didn't get hurt too bad, but never felt comfortable again. Motorcycles are so much fun, but probably not worth the risk.
