Motorcyclist dies after Fayetteville wreck

A motorcyclist who was in critical condition after a wreck early Sunday in Fayetteville has died, police said.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A motorcyclist who was in critical condition after a wreck early Sunday in Fayetteville has died, police said.

Matthew Dean Love, 20, lost control of his 2005 Kawasaki motorcycle in a curve on Fort Bragg Road near Bragg Boulevard at about 1:45 a.m., police said. He was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and transferred to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, where he died shortly after 8:30 a.m.

Police said they suspect that alcohol or drugs was a factor in the wreck.
