Motorcyclist dies after Durham collision

A motorcyclist died Thursday, a day after a collision on Dearborn Drive in Durham, police said.

DURHAM, N.C. — A motorcyclist died Thursday, a day after a collision on Dearborn Drive in Durham, police said.
Gayle Wyvette Pretty, 61, of Durham, was making a left hand turn into a driveway in the 3200 block of Dearborn Drive when an eastbound dirt bike driven by Arthur Lee Pettus III, 25, of Creedmoor, hit the front fender of her 1999 Honda Civic, police said.
Pettus, who wasn't wearing a helmet, was thrown from the motorcycle.
No charges have been filed, but the accident remains under investigation.
