A mom and her teenage son are dead after a tragic car crash in the east.

The Highway Patrol says 33-year-old Lisa Marie Kaufman and 14-year-old Kevin McClean were killed on Highway 64 near the Spring Hope exit in Nash County early Sunday morning. That's according to the Wilson Times, which says their car was rear-ended in the right lane where they had stopped, apparently out of gas.

The Highway Patrol says they'll consult the District Attorney on whether charges should be filed against the driver who ran into Kaufman's car.

Please post this information that I provided for all to see!
