A mother and her child were struck by a vehicle at 4205 University Drive in Durham Monday night, police said.

DURHAM, N.C. — A mother and her child were struck by a vehicle at 4205 University Drive in Durham Monday night, police said.
Both were hit while crossing the street, police said. The child is in intensive care at a local hospital.
