Moss: Milder temps, some rain will follow a cloudy Christmas Day
Cloudy skies mean just a few sprinkles are possible on an overcast Christmas Day, but temperatures will remain mild for the majority of the holiday.

Temperatures in upper 40s climbed into the mid 50s by the afternoon, but, despite the mild temperatures, the sun was hidden for most of the day. "We should see more clouds than sun overall today, with just a slight chance of a sprinkle or two through the morning," said WRAL meteorologist Mike Moss.
The chance for rain decreased by 10 a.m. as temperatures started to rise, so the weather will be ideal for some time outside on Christmas Day. Temperatures won't drop into the 40s again until close to 9 p.m., and Monday will stay on the cool side of mild as well, with highs in the low 50s.
"These temperatures are on the warm side of normal for late December," said Moss.
Those who appreciate warm weather will be happy to hear that temperatures will climb into the upper 60s by Tuesday. While Monday is dry, there will likely be some rain on Tuesday, but temperatures will remain mild until the weekend.
