— Durham police are seeking a Morrisville man as a suspect in cases of child molestation and  sexual assault.

Police said Thursday that Jimmy Edward Brown, 26, of Folsom Lane, has been charged with two counts each of sexual offense with a child and taking indecent liberties with a minor. Those offenses involved two boys in 2008, police said.

Brown remains at large. He is out on bond for a first-degree sexual assault charge stemming from an incident in 2006, police said.

According to state Department of Correction records, Brown was convicted of breaking-and-entering and larceny in Orange County in 2001.

Anyone with information on Brown’s whereabouts should call police Investigator Ochman at 919-560-4440, ext. 29331 or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases, and callers never have to identify themselves.

Out on bond... committed another crime... how nice.. when is the justice system going to learn that offenders especailly child sex offenders cannot be rehabilitated. Hang him publicly and be done... bet it will deter that in the future.

Amen......I'll buy the rope. It's low maintaince, effective, doesn't take a doctor to check for death after about an a day or two and the state already owns backhoes.

    Omniscient -

    I agree with you.

Someone with a sexual offense shouldn't be out of jail anytime soon after being convicted.

Time to close the revolving doors of justice.

    God bless.

I swear this is so absurd. EVERY SINGLE STORY INVOLVING A CRIME COMMITTED IS BY SOMEONE WHO WAS RELEASED RECENTLY FROM ANOTHER CRIME. 1st degree sex offense, and is out doing similar things in NO TIME. Why WOULDN'T they keep breaking the law.. who wouldn't risk 6 months prison vs. robbing and killing for a couple hundred thousand dollars, or carrying out their sexual fantasies by raping 20 women. We'd rather keep the prisons from over crowding by letting these people go than invest more money into locking people up to do LEGITIMATE bids.
