Morrisville Man's Death Ruled Accidental

The death of man whose body was found near N.C. Highway 54 in Morrisville was ruled accidental after an autopsy on Monday.

MORRISVILLE, N.C. — The death of man whose body was found near N.C. Highway 54 in Morrisville was ruled accidental after an autopsy on Monday.

The state's Chief Medical Examiner said the body's condition showed signs that were consistent those caused by a fall.

Police did not release the man's name, but said he was a 58-year-old Caucasian male, standing 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 220 pounds. The man was from Morrisville, according to a release.

The body was found alongside Henrico Lane and Weston Parkway around 11:30 a.m. on Sunday. Part of N.C. 54 was blocked during the afternoon while police conducted an investigation.
