RALEIGH, N.C. — A Morrisville man was sentenced in federal court Wednesday to seven years in prison, followed by seven years of supervised release, after pleading guilty to receiving child pornography.

More than 4,500 still images and 475 video files depicting the sexual exploitation of children were found on Robert Lowell Cassidy's computer equipment after a search warrant was served at his home in April 2013, federal prosecutors said.

Cassidy, 58, pled guilty in November. He was also ordered to pay a $10,000 fine.
