Morrisville man faces new charges in child sex case
Investigators have filed additional charges against Shawn Walters, a Morrisville man accused of taking indecent liberties with a 13-year-old boy.
Posted — UpdatedShawn Torres Walters, 43, was charged Monday with one count of first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and one felony count of indecent liberties with a child – charges stemming from a May 23 case in which Walters allegedly sexually assaulted the boy and made him watch pornography.
A search warrant in the case also accused Walters of giving the boy a flash drive with pornographic videos on it.
Walters, of 702 Walnut Woods Drive, was already in jail after being arrested May 30 on two felony counts of indecent liberties with a minor.
He was in the Wake County Detention Center Tuesday under a $500,000 secured bond on the new charges and a $400,000 bond on the May 30 charges.
Police say their investigation continues and haven't ruled out more charges against Walters.
