Both Morehead Planetarium and Science Center and the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences have some offerings for homeschoolers this month.

Actually ... they always have offerings for homeschoolers, but I thought I'd point out a couple of special ones here.

Feb. 17 is Homeschool Day at Morehead in Chapel Hill. Homeschool students and groups are invited to participate in Morehead's Discovery Classes and other programs offered to large groups and school field trips. There also will be some shows in the fulldome planetarium. Registration is a must for this one as space is limited. Morehead's website has the details.
And the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences is offering a discount at its Extreme Mammals special exhibit and WRAL 3D Theater movies to homeschoolers. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays through March 27, tickets are $8 for the exhibit and $3 for the movie. Tickets must be purchased at the museum's box office on the day of your visit.
