Police on Wednesday filed more charges against a man arrested Tuesday in connection with a Fayetteville bank robbery.

Russell Fredrick Culbreth, 34, of New Cumberland, W.Va., and Louis Joseph Spano, 30, of Lombardy Drive in Fayetteville, were charged with common law robbery and conspiracy following the robbery of a Carter Bank & Trust branch at 697 Country Club Road. They were arrested after their car crashed into a fence near McArthur and Rosehill roads, about 3 miles from the bank.

During the course of the investigation, evidence was gathered that connected Culbreth to a Saturday bank robbery in Prince William County, Va. Authorities in Virginia have secured a warrant for his arrest charging him with robbery.

Also, Culbreth and Nerieda Jade Marie Ferrer, 19, no address available, have outstanding warrants in connection with a bank robbery that occurred in Hancock County, W.Va., on Feb. 19.

Fayetteville police took Ferrer into custody Tuesday during their bank robbery investigation.

He needs about thirty years in the slammer to de-toxic and cool off.

I'm glad they stopped this crime spree before someone got hurt.
