— A woman charged with killing her boyfriend last month apparently tried to hang herself in her cell at the Moore County Jail, authorities said Thursday.

Jessica Denise White, 24, of 305 Baker Road in Cameron, was found in her cell Wednesday after trying to hang herself from a shower rod, authorities said.

White was taken to FirstHealth of the Carolinas in Pinehurst, where she was listed in serious condition.

The incident is under investigation by the Moore County Sheriff's Office and the State Bureau of Investigation.

White was arrested on May 24 after authorities found the body of 27-year-old Jonathan Elee Grice in a trash pile behind the house they shared. Authorities said Grice had been shot in the head before his body was wrapped in a car cover and dumped in the trash pile with some charred furniture and clothes.

Albert Devonte Brown, 26, of 240 Brookside Road in Pinehurst, and James Allen Hammonds, 17, also have been charged with murder in the case.

I know everyone is entitled to their opinion but what gives us the right to pass judgement on someone else. We are not god\ this is the world we live in.. When you live in that world you will die in it. By that I mean what about the tax payer money that was spent investigating him for drugs did you guys read the report that he was a big time drug dealer. What makes you think you can sale death to people and God will allow you to live. When the statistics say you will be dead or in jail by the time you are 30... they should believe it. My condolensces to the 3 kids that they had together and there was just an update that she is dead.. Now they don't have a mother or a father... that is the real tradgedy in this case. Not him.. not her but the kids.. He was far from innocent. I know them both and he was so far from innocent. Not saying he deserved to die but there is 2 sides to every story.

They should have let her die since that was what she was trying to do, kill herself. Then we the tax payers wouldn't have to support her..............

Very sad situation. Praying for her even though she is accused of committing a terrible crime.

BTW-Didja all notice she tossed the guy in a garbage pile BEHIND HER OWN HOUSE???

Wondering if abuse had something to do with it. Just got pushed too far, or was afraid for her life.

    God bless.

Again people are not thinking. It is simple. If the relationship is not working walk away. It's simple. If you need money get a job. If the spouse is cheating get another one. It is simple. Put your trust in no man. Learn a person before you give them your all. Take the time now before you will not have any time left. It is not worth it. Life is to short for alot of game.

The world hasnt fallen. It is the people on this planet and their sensibilites that have. Those that fell have the option of getting back up and becoming better than before. The world is not a crazy place. Some of the people that inhabit it are. They are the problem. The earth doesnt rob, still, kill, shoot or commit suicide or the many other numerous acts of violence being acted out by the criminal element. It is people. That is what I meant.
