Moore County pair accused of robbing man with a knife

Posted June 25, 2014

— A 22-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman were arrested and charged Wednesday with robbing a man with a knife.

Jarod Lee Mills, of 141 Wright Court in Vass, and Nichole Jeannine Gibson, of 124 Helen Lane in Cameron, are each charged with felony robbery with a dangerous weapon. Both remained in the Moore County jail Wednesday, each with a $500,000 bond.

Both suspects are scheduled to appear in court July 8.

Mills and Gibson are accused of robbing a man near the intersection of Cool Springs Road and Glendon Carthage Road in Carthage, according to the Moore County Sheriff's Office. The victim's money was in their possession when they were arrested, deputies said.

I wonder if it was an assault knife?

Why, because for once the majority of the posts are pro, not anti-gun?

Where is the outrage over this and the demand for knife control, the denouncing of knife violence, and the passage of laws requiring restrictions on honest people who have knives?

I wasn't injecting politics, Aqualung, just observing that if this alleged robbery involved a gun there would likely be four times as many comments on this story right now as there are. If that's injecting a topic it probably has more to do with human nature, not politics.

I guess the system works and they couldnt get their hands on a gun. I dont know why because according the liberal gun grabbers around here guns just fall magically from the sky and grow on every tree and just magically get up and move around to hurt people

If this alleged robbery involved a gun rather than a knife would it rate a more prominent place on the news feed and would it be garnering more comments?
