Moore County officials want clues in attempted kidnapping

Moore County, N.C. — Moore County authorities are seeking the public's help identifying a man suspected in an attempted kidnapping of a 13-year-old Thursday.
According to the Moore County Sheriff's Office, the man attempted to take the child about 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of River and Glendon-Carthage roads, near the Moore, Lee and Chatham county lines.
The man was described as black, between 30 to 40 years old, between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 foot tall, bald and clean shaven, authorities said.
At the time of the attempted kidnapping, the man was wearing a brown jacket, blue jeans and black boots, and the victim said he had a deep voice.
The man was driving a dark-colored, older model truck with a single cab.
