Moore County felon accused of having firearms, cocaine

— Moore County sheriff's deputies and Pinehurst police arrested a West End man Thursday after finding firearms and drugs inside an Eagle Springs home.

Royce Ali Smith, 30, of 187 Love Grove Church Road, was charged with possession of firearms by a convicted felon, felony possession of cocaine, possession of a schedule II controlled substance (amphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Authorities arrested him after searching a home at 230 Charles Road, where they found four firearms, a small amount of cocaine, two amphetamine pills and drug paraphernalia.

Smith was being held in the Moore County Detention Center under a $100,000 secure bond. No other information was released.

    You mean to tell me a criminal isn't obeying drug laws? You mean to tell me a criminal isn't obeying laws? I want people like blinkcdh making the laws, because that would mean there would be no laws at all. Heck, criminals break laws; so, why have them?     and the president's solution is to keep law abiding citizens from obtaining any more antique WWII rifles. Of which they haven't even show were any of these antique rifles have even been used in any crimes in the past.

    To bad the new guns laws don't take effect until Oct 1st. He will probably plead down the charges and get maybe 6 months.
