Moore County felon accused of having firearms, cocaine

West End, N.C. — Moore County sheriff's deputies and Pinehurst police arrested a West End man Thursday after finding firearms and drugs inside an Eagle Springs home.
Royce Ali Smith, 30, of 187 Love Grove Church Road, was charged with possession of firearms by a convicted felon, felony possession of cocaine, possession of a schedule II controlled substance (amphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Authorities arrested him after searching a home at 230 Charles Road, where they found four firearms, a small amount of cocaine, two amphetamine pills and drug paraphernalia.
Smith was being held in the Moore County Detention Center under a $100,000 secure bond. No other information was released.
