MomsRising and The First 2000 Days Campaign is traveling around the state with a giant Chutes & Ladders game board to highlight the need for investments in early learning, education, child care, health care and other issues.

From 10 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, as part of Child & Family Day at the N.C. Assembly, a large 40-foot Chutes & Ladders game will be available for play, along with crafts, hula hoops, snacks, bubbles and speakers, who will talk about early childhood needs. It's at Halifax Mall, the outdoor space surrounded by government buildings, at 16 W. Jones St., in downtown Raleigh.
