RALEIGH, N.C. — Tamira Anderson believes someone knows something about her son’s murder.

It was year ago this month – two days before Valentine's Day – that Virginia investigators found Torrey Anderson's abandoned car.

His burned body was nearby.

Investigators are currently working on a timeline of events before his death. They believe the former Garner High School student was shot and killed somewhere other than where his body was found.

A day has not gone by that Anderson doesn’t think of her son.

“It’s been rough,” she said. “We have a great family. We have a great support system, we have faith in god and that's why we won't give up.”

Anderson believes her son send her a sign recently. She was picking out her son’s coffin last Valentine’s Day, but this year, she found a ring with wings on it while at a concert.

It serves as a reminder of the blessing her son was to her and why she will never give up seeking justice for her son, she said.

She then got her first tattoo – her son’s name and a wing.

“We had a special bond,” she said. “Mother and son that was us.
