MN woman dies after horse-drawn buggy is hit by pickup; alcohol involved

— A Minnesota woman is dead after the horse-drawn buggy she was in was hit by a Ford F-350 pickup on Saturday night.

Reports say the buggy and F-350 were traveling south on Highway 92 when the F-350 collided with the rear of the buggy at 7:38 pm on Saturday, September 23rd.

27-year-old Christopher Baumann, the driver of the F-350, wasn't injured in the accident.

The driver of the buggy, 27-year-old Mervin Yoder of Clearbrook, MN, was taken to Sanford Health in Bagley with non-life threatening injuries.

The passenger of the buggy, 23-year-old Elsi Yoder of Clearbook, MN, was taken to Sanford Health Hospital in Fargo but died from her injuries.

Minnesota State Patrol reports that Baumann was affected by alcohol.

Baumann is currently in Clearwater County Jail.
