Missing Selma boy found safe following Silver Alert

— Authorities canceled a Silver Alert issued for an 11-year-old Selma boy overnight after he was found safe.

Investigators found Damien Dashawn Redmond at a friend's house at about midnight. A Silver Alert had been issued for him after he went missing from West Waddell Street.

No other information about his disappearance has been released.

    Silver alerts have 4 criteria, this first is "The person is believed to be suffering from dementia or other cognitive impairment- regardless of age".

    Also, it's important to note that Amber Alerts refer to children who have been abducted (or at possible risk of danger/death), not simply missing.

    Correct if I am wrong, but wouldn't this be an "Amber Alert" since this was not an adult that was missing but of a 11yo boy??
