— A Raleigh teen who had been missing since Monday morning has been found safe, police said.

Police haven't released more details about what happened to James Doeffinger Jr., 16, who had last been seen leaving his Marshlane Way house to take a walk.

Police said earlier that Doeffinger, who is homeschooled, took a walk every morning, and it was unlike him not to return home.

Family and friends gathered at Crossroads Fellowship Church on Millbrook Road Tuesday morning to search for him.

What does homeschooling have to do with this story? Seems there would be far more important information to include (family life, siblings, nearby sex offenders, nearby shopping malls, -- I smell bias in the lack of additional factual coverage and the pittance that was written.

I hope nothing bad happened to him while he was gone.

"Any reason for him walking away and not telling anyone?"

The story said he takes a walk every morning. Just this particular morning, something happened.

It was a harrowing night for alot of us who knew him. Thank God he was found safe. I don't really care what happened as long as he is safe. I laid awake a long time last night thinking and praying about him.

I'm sure there is more to this story, but so glad for him to be found safe....I can only imagine what his parents went through.

Glad he was found safe. Any reason for him walking away and not telling anyone?

I'm glad he's safe, but I can't help but wonder why he went missing.

wonder what the story is.....if he left on his own volition, he sure put his parents through a lot of heartache yesterday. Saw them on the news and was sure it was going to end badly, glad they got a happy ending.
