Missing man's remains found in Raleigh woods
A 64-year-old Raleigh man who is believed to be cognitively impaired, went missing Monday, prompting authorities to issue a Silver Alert.
Posted — UpdatedA police spokesman said Wednesday that human remains found April 3 in a wooded area off Sunnybrook Road were determined to be those of Roman Green Jr., 64.
Green was last seen Jan. 12 at his home on Pender Street in Raleigh, approximately 3 miles from where his body was found. Authorities issued the Silver Alert – a means for quickly notifying the public when a person with a cognitive impairment goes missing – on Jan. 23.
A preliminary investigation does not indicate foul play, police said.
