RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh man who was the subject of a Silver Alert in January has been found dead in a wooded area in southeast Raleigh.

A police spokesman said Wednesday that human remains found April 3 in a wooded area off Sunnybrook Road were determined to be those of Roman Green Jr., 64.

Green was last seen Jan. 12 at his home on Pender Street in Raleigh, approximately 3 miles from where his body was found. Authorities issued the Silver Alert – a means for quickly notifying the public when a person with a cognitive impairment goes missing – on Jan. 23.

A preliminary investigation does not indicate foul play, police said.
