— A 15-year-old Knightdale girl who went missing Wednesday has been found safe, authorities said Friday.

Police did not release any details about how Kiara Black was found or why she went missing.

Her mother, Leslie Black, reported her missing after she failed to return from a run Wednesday afternoon.

The girl's family and friends spent Thursday plastering her picture on fliers and Facebook trying to find her.

But I do agree with TWC on one thing, 15 is too old to be spanked or hit-she needs to feel the legal ramifications of her selfish actions!

Please if you wait until 15 to start the spanking process... you have waited to long and it will be of no use

Because the legal action against her would be so much less expensive. Get a grip.

It's obvious it was a "runaway" situation or charges would have been filed.

Beating and spanking are all a context-the act of physical touch to stop someone is no different than striking a dog who just used the bathroom on the carpet. The question that most of us is wondering is what has a 15 yr old person experienced in their lifetime that would allow them to think it's okay to "go missing"? For people who question why anyone should care about how much it cost to look for her, simple, because my tax money should not be going for searches of people hiding, it should go to really missing people! But I do agree with TWC on one thing, 15 is too old to be spanked or hit-she needs to feel the legal ramifications of her selfish actions! None of us know what actually happened but the fact that all WRAL said is that she's home safe with no other information tells me she chose to be missing, no foul play involved! That's my problem, I want people like her to be disciplined and stop wasting our time!

silenterprises, tell us exactly how you would approach this. Do you tell the child to bend over, I'm going to hurt you now because you ran away? How long do you beat her? Until she cries? Until she apologizes? Until you can see welts? What do you beat her with? What does she think of you, later?

Explain in detail how you convince someone to be beaten. And, yes, beaten is the right word. Spanking terminology is an attempt to trivialize it.
