Hope Mills, N.C. — Cumberland County investigators on Sunday found an abandoned SUV belonging to a missing Hope Mills woman.
Edwardyne "Dynee" Williams, 50, of Canady Pond Road, was last seen by family members on Nov. 27, authorities said.
Her white Isuzu Rodeo was found along Chicken Foot Road in Cumberland County, about a mile or two from her home. Her purse was found hanging on a nearby tree, and her house keys and cellphone were in the vehicle, said her brother, Robert Kreel. The key to the Rodeo was missing.
"Dynee was not a small girl. She was a scrapper," Kreel said, adding that her family suspects foul play.
Williams' husband died Dec. 18, 2010, but Kreel said family members hadn't noted any signs of depression in her in connection with the upcoming anniversary.
She is described as white, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and 180 pounds, She has long, dark blond hair, hazel eyes and wears glasses.
