Posted October 10, 2015

Rebecca Elizabeth Lahl

— Police said Saturday evening that they had located a missing Fayetteville teen.

Rebecca Elizabeth Lahl's family reported her missing a week ago. The 19-year-old has been diagnosed with low-functioning borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder and Von Willebrand disease, which requires medication, and police said earlier that her "safety is possibly in jeopardy."

No information was released about her whereabouts, but police said she was safe and had been reunited with her family.

Was it necessary to give her full diagnosis? This seems like a data breach. Why not just tattoo it on her forehead next time? How many even understand what these conditions mean, the associated behaviors, etc.? Irresponsible reporting!

Way to go Fayetteville police. I bet someone tipped you off. How else would you figure out that a woman missing for a week, may have her safety in jeopardy?
